Afghanistan capital is Kabul. Some of the large cities are Kandahar, Herat and Mazare-sharif. The total population of the country is 29,928,987 and the area is 647,497 sq.km. Languages people speak are Pushtu and Persian. Date of independence of Afghanistan is 19th August 1919. Afghanistan is famously known as "The land of the rising sun".
