Total area is 17,818 sq.km. and population is 2,335,648. Languages spoken are Arabic and English. Currency for exchange is Kuwait Dinar. Date of Independence is 19th June 1961.

Kuwait, a small Arab state, is on the north western coast of the Persian Gulf between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. There are 9 islands off the coast of Kuwait. Rate of growth of population is 3.33%.More than 125 nationalities live in Kuwait. Became independent state on June 19, 1961.
