Indian stamps depict a story which worldnewswriter has come across. I came across three different kinds of stamps for my postal needs. They were in various denominations. These different denominations indicate various different values of the currency. They also indicate leading contributors to the technology. Technology has been forefront in developing the society. They provide interesting aspects which help the society to build future gadgets.
1) Rupee Three.
2) Rupee One.
3) Rupee Four.
4) Rupee Five.
5) Rupee fifty paise.
6) Rupee 15 paise.
They had these inscriptions on them namey India. Photographs of people such as HOMI JAHANGIR BHABHA, MAHATMA GANDHI, DR.B.R.AMBEDKAR, INDIRA GANDHI,
etc were visible.
Rupee 50 paise stamp had a women carrying pot over her head. There were three animals (Buffaloes) beside here. It was named as INDIA.
There was another 15 paise stamp on which there was a man carrying on his left shoulder a field ploughing machine. Probably he was ploughing or preparing his field for planting Maize.
I also had privilege to come across a one rupee stamp which was named as SARAS CRANE. It was wetting his feet in a pond full of water. It was also named as India.
This was a 5 rupees stamp which was named for Neerja Bhanot an ASHOKA CHAKRA WINNER issued in 2004. It was also named as INDIA.
ATHENS 2004 stamp issued by INDIA, it was named for 28th Olympics. Cost of the stamp was Rupees 5.
