Western ghats of India are famous for their lush forests. India also has a mountainous region where forests are present. India has institute for forest management. This institute is also called as Indian institute of Forest management. India has forest officers who are responsible for protecting the wild life along the corridor of Indian borders. Forest officers also ensure protection of trees, bushes, shrubs, mangroves, etc. These forests make a huge contribution to the economy of India. India has exports of their forest products. Often we can read the labels of Indian forest products. These products are brought from the dense forests of India. They are valuable.
Indian borders are shared with forest cover. India has borders along various corridors towards the east with West Bengal. India also shares its border with Pakistan. There are other countries which share their border along with India. Indian forests are present near the border. They might not be of huge scale but they contribute to the nature.
